Product details

Brown corundum is made of high-quality bauxite, which is smelted with anthracite and iron filings in an electric arc at a high temperature above 2000°C. It is crushed and shaped by an autogenous mill, iron is removed by magnetic separation, and sieved into various particle sizes. Its texture is dense and its hardness is high. The particles form a spherical shape, suitable for the manufacture of ceramics, resin high-consolidation abrasives, grinding, polishing, sandblasting, precision casting, etc.

Sandblasting is an operation method that uses compressed air to spray brown corundum sand through sandblasting equipment to the surface of the workpiece to be treated at high speed to increase its roughness, thereby enhancing the adhesion between the workpiece and the paint.

 

How to do a good sandblasting abrasives with Brown fused aluminum oxide ?

 

1. Preparation before work:

1.1 Connect the gas source and power supply to the electrical appliance, and turn on the power switch on the electrical box.

1.2 Inject #120 brown fused alumina into the engine room (be sure to add sand slowly to avoid clogging).

1.3 Set the pressure of the compressed air entering the spray gun through the pressure reducing valve as required to be greater than 6Kgf/C㎡.

1.4. Install sandblasting gloves

 

2. Operation process:

2.1 According to the requirements, protect the parts of the workpiece that are not allowed to be sprayed with sand.

2.2 Put the workpieces into the sandblasting cabin, the quantity is determined according to the size and shape of the workpieces, so as to ensure that the workpieces will not collide with each other or interfere with each other during the sandblasting process.

2.3 Close the blaster door. (The door of the sandblasting machine must be closed when the sandblasting work is started, so as to avoid the dust from polluting the sandblasting environment.)

2.4 Insert both hands into the operation hole respectively, hold the workpiece with one hand, and hold the sandblasting gun with the other. Through the window to observe the operation. When you're ready, step on the foot switch and start sandblasting.

2.5 When sandblasting, keep the distance between the nozzle of the spray gun and the workpiece at about 10~20cm, move vertically and evenly, and turn the workpiece in the hand at the same time, so that the surface of the workpiece is evenly sprayed with sand.

2.6 After spraying all the workpieces in the sandblasting cabin, release the foot switch, open the machine door, and take out the workpieces.

2.7 Check the sandblasting workpiece. If there are parts that have not been sprayed or the sandblasting is not good, refill the sand on the workpiece. Qualified workpieces are removed from the protection and placed in the turnover box.

2.8 After the work is completed, turn off the switches according to the reverse process of starting the machine, and pour out the accumulated dust in the dust collecting hopper.
